Tools made by a walrus
who got tired of taking notes.

Cranky Walrus builds small, private tools for busy people: they do the tedious part, keep your data on your own devices, and don't ask for a subscription to a cloud you didn't want.

Attune

A meeting recorder for the Mac (and iPhone) that writes the transcript, knows who said what, and turns it into minutes, short messages and answers — with a clear choice of what may leave your Mac.

How we build things

Your data stays yours

No accounts, no servers of ours, no tracking. Files live on your devices.

Useful, not clever

Every feature exists because someone was tired of doing it by hand.

Honest about AI

We say exactly what runs on your device and what goes to a cloud you chose.
